Jolly & Roger is a compact two-player contest built around the classic dilemma of dividing a prize that the other player chooses. Each round, five pirate cards are split into two sets; the opponent takes one and leaves the other. Crews then reinforce four ships, where the player with the stronger presence controls the captain and can use later cards to steal gold. After eight rounds, ships pay bonuses and the pirate with the largest hoard wins. Every split reveals priorities, invites a bluff, and forces a choice between immediate treasure and longer control.
