The Mystery of the Ice Cave turns the EXIT escape-room system into a twenty-four-day adventure calendar. After an avalanche traps the group in a mountain cave, each day begins with the next story chapter and one sealed compartment. The room artwork, riddle cards, unusual physical objects, and a three-digit code work together to reveal where the following day’s door is hidden. Hints are available in the help book, and the narrative advances only after the current puzzle is solved. It can be played solo or cooperatively by a team, either at the intended one-puzzle-per-day pace or in a shorter series of sessions. Like many EXIT titles, components may be folded, written on, or otherwise altered, so the experience is designed primarily for one group. Avoid gallery captions and videos that reveal solutions; discovery is the heart of the product.
