Conquest of the Empire is a large-format strategy game from Milton Bradley’s Gamemaster series. Rival Caesars begin in fortified home provinces and recruit infantry, cavalry, catapults, galleys, generals, and other forces to contest the ancient Mediterranean. Armies move between connected regions, ships carry campaigns across the sea, and dice resolve battles. Roads accelerate reinforcement, while cities and fortifications strengthen the economic and defensive shape of an empire. Inflation makes repeated recruitment increasingly expensive, forcing players to balance growth against decisive attacks. Victory comes by eliminating the competing Caesars.
