City of Six Moons is a solitary civilization game and an archaeological puzzle. The box presents cards, tracks, markers, and a rulebook written entirely in an invented symbolic language. Rather than receiving a conventional teach, the player studies repeated icons, proposes meanings, and runs experiments to discover how the system behaves. Every play becomes both a strategic session and a hypothesis test: an apparent breakthrough can reveal a productive engine, while a contradiction sends the investigation back to earlier assumptions. The designer intentionally provides no definitive translation, making interpretation, note-taking, and uncertainty central to the experience.
