Citizens of the Spark is a variable-setup card game about transforming a frontier settlement into the prophesied city of Fera. On a turn, players attract a group of citizen cards from the shared assembly, collecting any spark tokens that have accumulated beside it. Matching citizens layer into increasingly powerful stacks; activating one can generate resources, manipulate cities, attack a rival, or score, and opponents with the same citizen may follow the action by discarding a copy. Only a subset of the thirty citizen types appears each game, so the economy, interaction, and scoring texture changes dramatically from one setup to the next. A dedicated automa, Scyntilla, supports solo play without flattening the tactical timing that makes the multiplayer game lively.
