Chasing Shadows is a trick-avoidance card game set in a world of exposed agents and shifting allegiances. Before playing to each trick, players draft from a dwindling display to determine which suit they are obliged to follow, letting every choice constrain the next player. Winning cards is usually bad because points accumulate across the round, but certain combinations can cancel earlier penalties and reward calculated risks. After three rounds, the agent with the lowest score has stayed deepest in the shadows and wins.
