Catan: On the Road compresses the familiar resource economy of Catan into a portable card game. A shared resource display replaces the island board, while players collect, exchange, and negotiate for the materials needed to construct roads, settlements, cities, and knights. Building cards come from an open market, keeping development options visible and competition immediate. Settlements expand income but also trigger event cards that can change the table, and players can pursue the Longest Route and Largest Army bonuses alongside city upgrades and metropolises. Trading is encouraged with a bonus for deals involving players other than the current trader. The first player to reach seven victory points wins, creating a quick race with recognizable Catan negotiation and engine growth.
