Carnuta welcomes two to four druids to an annual potion-making contest built around cards and double-sided Sun and Moon runes. Eight ingredients are available, but their value depends on the combinations already taking shape in front of each player. On a turn, choose two actions, repeating one or mixing two from the four possibilities: take a card, play a card, gain runes, or flip runes between their Sun and Moon sides. Played ingredients may require a particular rune state, reward sets, or strengthen other cards, so the puzzle is as much about timing resource changes as collecting the right symbols. The ceremony ends as soon as a player places an eleventh ingredient, triggering final scoring for every completed potion. Clear turn choices make the system easy to teach, while the limited rune economy creates meaningful tactical pressure. At roughly twenty-five minutes, Carnuta is a bright family-weight optimization game with enough sequencing and card synergy to reward repeat play.
