Beasts is a cooperative card game in which the group tries to play every card while continually increasing a shared three-digit number. On a turn, a player must use every card of one suit from their hand, covering digits to create a larger value. Beast cards complicate the puzzle by blocking particular card types from certain positions; matching cards can startle a beast into moving or fleeing. Limited communication, scarce shared discards, and adjustable beast counts make the simple numerical goal a tense exercise in timing and inference.
