Battle Commander: Volume I opens a historical wargame system with six battles from Napoleon’s Italian campaigns: Lonato, Castiglione, Arcole, Rivoli, Montebello, and Marengo. Colored cubes pulled from a bag govern movement, combat, rallying, and card draws, forcing commanders to adapt their priorities as the turn unfolds. Event cards drive an interactive combat system in place of dice, while mounted maps, painted wooden blocks, scenario cards, and army mats give each battle a substantial tabletop presence.
