Age of Galaxy (Second Edition) delivers a compact 4X civilization game in under an hour. Each player leads an alliance assembled from asymmetric faction cards, but the starting hand is finite: a card can join the alliance for a permanent ability, provide an immediate reinforcement, enable adaptation to a planet type, or establish a major ideology that changes scoring. Action discs drive exploration, colonization, development, trade, research, fleet building, and political influence across a modular Silver Crescent. Production and war create a shared strategic rhythm, while technology tracks, relics, innovation, the Galactic Senate, and five ideological directions support distinct plans. The second edition refreshes the graphic design and components and adds five structured solo scenarios, preserving the original game’s multi-use-card tension and fast arc.
