Aegean Sea is an asymmetric civilization card game built from five distinct forty-four-card decks. Athens, Sparta, Crete, Rhodes, and Ephesus each follow unique customs while competing across a shared sea of islands. Every card can become an island or tuck beneath one as a boat, temple, good, or populace, so committing a card always closes one possibility and opens another. Most turns pair a basic action with a conditional card effect, rewarding careful sequencing. Goods delivered to a home island score quadratically, making specialization lucrative and disruption essential.
