Read the full game description

Advanced Third Reich is Avalon Hill’s demanding grand-strategic simulation of the Second World War in Europe and North Africa. A quarterly turn covers economics, diplomacy, declarations of war, construction, movement, combat, exploitation, strategic warfare, and redeployment. Corps and air or naval factors operate across a hex map, but military strength begins with Basic Resource Points: players must decide whether to rebuild losses, launch costly offensive options, invest in strategic warfare, or reserve production for future campaigns. Political alignment, minor countries, surrender conditions, and research introduce long-range commitments beyond the front line. The Axis seeks decisive expansion before Allied production becomes overwhelming, while Britain, the Soviet Union, and later the United States must survive, coordinate, and choose when to shift from containment to counteroffensive. Scenarios offer shorter starting points, but the full campaign is a multi-session undertaking for players who want detailed logistics and alternate-history grand strategy.
