Read the full game description

Abroad is a card-driven journey across Europe in which aspiring travel writers have four weeks to prove they deserve a dream job. Each player begins with a hand of location cards drawn from a large deck of unique destinations, then plans a route through ten regions of the continent. Visiting a location can earn knowledge, postcards, contacts, and opportunities that strengthen later turns. Weekends introduce festivals and bucket-list adventures, while tags and regional majorities connect individual stops into broader scoring plans. The central tension is between efficiency and curiosity: a direct route conserves time, but a detour may complete a valuable set or unlock a better final story. Income and hand management keep resources tight, and personal postcard objectives give each traveller a different reason to value the same place. Solo play turns the itinerary into a focused puzzle; with more players, shared regional competition makes popular routes increasingly contested.
