Read the full game description

1980 Sixtina casts players as restorers during the monumental fourteen-year conservation of the Sistine Chapel. A modular chapel of fresco cards unfolds across the table, each demanding particular restoration techniques. Players draw and manage technique cards, acquire materials, then commit both to correct, excellent, or deliberately prudent restorations. Vatican criteria, expert evaluation, and public objectives do not always agree, creating a pointed majority contest in which technical precision and institutional approval can pull in different directions. Variable frescoes and objectives keep the forty-five-minute challenge changing.
