1902 Méliès casts players as assistant directors collaborating on Georges Méliès’s pioneering A Trip to the Moon. Workers enter the studio through paired action strips, where timing determines access to sets, performers, special effects, filming, editing, and hand-colouring. Completed scenes and photograms build prestige, but the production ends as soon as one assistant records a sixth scene, so every ticket and placement matters. The result is a compact worker-placement game whose interlocking actions turn early cinema into a tight scheduling puzzle.
